Command over Ethernet/IP (Sysmac Studio and Automation direct GS20)

Yes, I am sending data (command freq) from PLC to VFD over to Word 1. I send 6000 (60Hz). But on VFD it display 00.00 Hz.
If the display on the VFD is not showing your command frequency then something is not configured properly. Verify the parameters again, check P00.20 is set to 8.

If I haven’t received any data back from VFD, such as VFD controlled over EIP or over Keypad then I would assume that it’s not configured correctly. But every time I change something in VFD parameters, VFD monitor instance would reflect accordingly.

If the VFD is displaying 0Hz and you are commanding 60Hz from the PLC, a parameter in the VFD is configured incorrectly. The VFD should display the commanded frequency from E/IP even when not being commanded to run.

Are you sure the drive isn't in LOCAL control mode? I don't think there are Local/Remote buttons on the GS20 like there are on the GS4, but I think there is a way to switch modes via parameters or digital input.

Yes I am sure. It is controlled over EIP. I have been in touch with technical support of Sysmac as well as Automation direct. They are also not aware why it’s not ready to take a command.
